Let’s talk sunscreen.
I use Circadia Lightday Sunscreen SPF 37 like religion.
Every day, rain or shine, all year long. I know that the leading cause of aging of our skin is the sun. It causes wrinkles, pigmentation, loss of hydration, and as we get older our bodies can’t heal the damage as easily which leads to a loss in collagen and elastin.
In short, it makes us look older, faster. I want you to look at these pictures.
I had been out for about an hour in the pool.
I put my sunscreen on and like most people, I used both hands to rub it in.
Can you see what happened?
I missed a thin line down the center of my nose.
Sharing these images because I need you to understand it’s not just what you use on your skin but how you use it.
You can see my sunscreen worked, as evidenced by my non-burned skin. You can also see how complacency can hit everyone, even professionals – not to mention that at 44, I should know better.
Moral of the story, be sure to follow the instructions on your products and the advice of professionals you trust. Sunscreen is the most effective tool to preserving our skin.
Be sure to apply it thoroughly and often.
